Preparing
Preparing for the Dancing
Dancing tango in Buenos Aires offers an unparalleled experience. It comes with unique features that enhance the fun factor, but it also poses certain challenges that might be difficult for some.
To help you prepare for the trip, I've compiled a short list of recommendations:

Get Good Sleep
The workshops will start around noon, which might feel like 8 AM if you're out late the night before. I recommend not staying up too late if you want to feel fresh during the workshops.
Typically, people get a good sense of their energy levels and stamina after the first day of dancing. So, I suggest waiting a day or two before committing to your evening outings.
No Pressure
To conclude, I want to assure you that nobody will be pushing you in any way during the trip. If you feel tired or need a break, you're free to take it. We're all here to have a good time and enhance our enjoyment of the dance and all the activities.
Get in Shape
You'll be moving, dancing, and traveling around Buenos Aires for several hours each day. Additionally, during the workshops, you'll be dancing with a highly skilled partner, which will require more focus and physical effort from you.
To be fully prepared for this dance storm, I recommend ensuring you're in good physical condition. The workshops won't feel like a gym workout but more like an extended private class.
This is what you can do to get in shape for this trip:
-
Increase your weekly dancing hours.
-
Make sure you can dance for two hours in a row.
-
Get strong and mobile. If you consider yourself fit you should be fine. If not, it is time to add some physical activity to your schedule: regular gentle hiking is one of the best activities you can continue doing or add to your lifestyle. You can also add or continue doing some pilates, vinyasa yoga, or strenght workouts at your local gym.
The better in shape you are the more you will enjoy your tango time in Buenos Aires.
